Ashley
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Ashley received her Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology from Florida Institute of Technology. She continued on her educational journey and earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Stetson University. Ashley also completed the Play and Creativity in Counseling Certification at Stetson University.
Ashley comes from a person-centered approach and chooses to meet Clients at their level by utilizing understanding, empathy, and openness. She also incorporates components from narrative therapy, emotion-focused family therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, child- centered play therapy, expressive arts, and sand tray therapy.
Ashley’s specializations include anxiety, depression, impulse-control and conduct concerns, trauma, body image concerns, and self- esteem. She has a passion for working with people of all ages to address their concerns and work toward the goals of their individualized mental health journeys. Ashley focuses on creating a safe space for her clients to comfortably and openly express themselves.
She sees each Client holistically and focuses on the individual in the present versus solely the presenting issues or symptoms. She has had extensive training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT).
Ashley is trained in sand tray therapy and actively working toward certification. She has also received training in sensory processing work. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time exploring nature and at theme parks. She is an animal lover.
