Most of Tony’s career was spent caring for high-level collegiate athletes. Graduating from the University of Central Florida in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training, he went on to work as an intern at the University of Florida. Tony stayed on for an extra two years finishing his Master of Arts degree in Sport Management with an emphasis in athlete development, graduating in 2018. During his three years at the University of Florida, Tony was the Head Athletic Trainer for the Men’s Tennis team and also assisted with the Men’s Basketball team. In 2019, Tony became the athletic trainer for the Track & Field/ Cross Country team for Mississippi State University. After serving a one-year stint at Mississippi State, Tony had the opportunity to return to his alma mater at the University of Central Florida where he was in charge of the health and well-being for the Women’s Basketball team. In 2022, Tony was promoted to Senior Associate Athletic Trainer and was the primary athletic trainer for the Women’s Basketball and Women’s Golf team.
During Tony’s time as a collegiate athletic trainer, he helped lead his teams to a Southeastern Conference Tournament Championship Title, American Athletic Conference Tournament Championship Title, and an American Athletic Conference Regular Season Title. He has provided care to 6 future professional tennis players, 5 future professional Olympic track athletes, and 12 future men and women basketball players with a few reaching the National Basketball Association.
Currently, Tony works for the Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at AdventHealth Training Center. Tony has a strong love and passion for taking care of people's physical health and well-being. An area of high importance for Tony is ensuring that his patients are feeling their best physically and targeting what is causing their discomfort. He fully assesses his patients’ orthopedic health and performs multiple different Manual Therapy techniques to increase their quality of life. He is dedicated to providing the best care possible to every patient while upholding the most up-to-date continuing research.
Tony is certified in Sound Assisted Soft-Tissue Mobilization, Fascial Abrasion Technique, Integrative Dry Needling, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Performance Enhancement Specialist. He also holds memberships in National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Southeastern Athletic Trainers’ Association, Athletic Trainers’ Association of Florida, and the Professional Association of Athlete Development Specialist.
Originally from Apopka, Florida, Tony and his wife, Nikki reside in Orlando, Florida with their dog Coco. During Tony’s free time, you will catch him staying physically active, spending time with family, and reading books on self-growth.
