Kathryn

Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Kathryn is a registered mental health counselor intern who graduated from Troy University in December of 2022 with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Kathryn is a PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator. She also has has been trained in cognitive processing therapy and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).

Kathryn specializes in providing support to teens and adults that suffer from depression, anxiety, anger, substance abuse, PTSD, and severe and persistent mental illnesses. She incorporates a holistic approach to counseling, using motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. She sees counseling as a space to harbor trust and create a safe, judgement-free environment.

Outside of practice, she loves hiking and staying active. She enjoys incorporating mindfulness into her everyday routines. Kathryn is also an avid hockey fan.
