Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern
Amanda is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern who received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida. She completed additional training in Motivational Interviewing, Cultural Responsiveness, Screening-Brief Intervention-Referral to Treatment (SBIRT), and Trauma-Focused CBT.
Amanda is eager to work with clients who are ready to make positive changes for themselves, whether they have participated in counseling before or may be new to the process entirely. She has experience working with a wide range of presenting issues and loves to individualize the counseling process to the client, whatever it may take.
Amanda’s special-interest populations include individuals in a romantic relationship or seeking a romantic relationship, survivors of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), and educators who have experienced stress, anxiety, or trauma related to their professional field.
She is currently accepting clients who are 14 years of age and older. In her free time, you can find Amanda in the pottery studio or seeing local bands play around Central Florida. She loves spending time with her friends, her partner, and her cat, Cosmo.
