I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY until 8th grade, when my family moved to Florida.   I graduated in 1993 from Gateway High School in Kissimmee, where I participated in track and field, cheerleading, flag football, and choir.  In 1997, I entered the United States Air Force as an Intelligence Airman.  After leaving active duty in 2006, I completed my undergraduate degree in Business from Belhaven University and held a variety of positions, which included, Business Analyst, Facilities Manager, Catering Manager, and a Church Community Group Manager.  I continue to serve in the Florida Air National Guard as a Superintendent Religious Affairs Specialist with over 20 years of military service.

In 2010 I began searching for what was my life passion, which lead me to a different educational path.   I graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2013 with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling.  After graduation, I chose to work with a wide demographic of patients at Esperance Counseling and Children’s Home Society.  Over the last 5 years, I found myself working closely with the school system and foster care, which has expanded my experience with adolescents, young adults transitioning into adulthood, and adults.  I have gained an incredible amount of information and resources within the school system, foster care system, and have developed a deep appreciation for the challenges and trauma that many are exposed to from a very young age in our current culture as a result their personal challenges.

As a Psychotherapist trained in TF-CBT, I now have extensive experience with adolescents, young adults, and women who have all experienced some level of trauma.  I have always had a deep desire to work with survivors of abuse and love learning and growing with my clients!    I have a passion for working with anyone ready to figure out how to live their best version of themselves, whether it be finding freedom from trauma, depression, anxiety, transition, or other psychological disorders.

Outside of work, I love being a mom to my almost adult son, watching movies, reading, running, and going to the beach.  I am also passionate about food, music, and dancing, that are all a traditional part of a big Spanish family! Se habla Español.
