Eric Olin, LMHC, Licensed Mental Health Counselor
In his own words ...
I was born on Florida’s space coast. After spending several years each in Orlando, Tampa, Miami, and San Diego I returned to Maitland to be near extended family. I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at USF and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at FIU.
After counseling in inpatient, outpatient, hospital, detention, substance use treatment, outreach, and crisis settings for over a decade I’m very much a believer that counseling can benefit and enrich the lives of most people across the continuum of health. I enjoy working with people of various ages and backgrounds so long as my style is beneficial for them. I have a special interest in working with individuals who feel misunderstood and out of control of their own lives, especially adolescents.
I am passionate about collaborating with people as they craft lives for themselves that are far better than average, and I find counseling is often a fantastic way to do so. I am intrigued by investigating behavior and thought patterns and rearranging them to improve life satisfaction. Sometimes our greatest satisfactions in life come from the sources we least expect, and this can be a wonderful surprise. Mental, emotional, and physical health all impact one another so it is important to examine them holistically to truly understand a person and their path.
When I’m not working, I’m spending time with family, riding bikes in the woods, surfing, studying Jiu-Jitsu, or playing guitar. I’m just trying to do it all and live a simple life at the same time.
